Kate Pryor’s Favourite Frames

As a core member of our Style Squad, Kate Pryor's fashion sense is the epitome of "It Girl" cool, from her stylish outfits to her bold accessories.

We've partnered with her to curate a list of her favourite glasses and sunglasses frames, along with tips on how she styles them.

When Specsavers asked me to curate an edit of my favourite frames, I was beyond excited.

Talking about fashion is my life - I am a stylist after all - so nothing makes me happier than sharing what I’m loving and helping others look and feel their best.

Glasses aren’t just functional, they’re a fashion statement. Whether you’re heading to the office or brunching at the weekend, accessories are key, and the right eyewear will make all the difference.

What’s my Style?

I would describe my style as minimal with a touch of playfulness. I gravitate towards a capsule wardrobe of jeans and great jackets, but have fun with my accessories.

It’s incredible how easily a look can be transformed with the right styling. Let’s tap into my hand-picked edit…

My Glasses Picks

Vivienne Westwood 28

Neutral and elegant, perfect for everyday, but they have that ‘cool girl’ attitude about them.

You’ll notice all my glasses picks have thicker frames - I gravitate towards these mostly for my face shape (I have a very small head!) but also because I think thicker frames instantly make a statement and bring an edgier look.

These frames pull any outfit together but stand out on their own, perfect to throw on for work and play.

Style tip: Opt for an oversized blazer and jeans for that '90s ‘Oh, I just threw this on’ look.

Specsavers Toulouse

Smaller, worn less often, but for the days when I want to feel like ‘that girl’, I throw these on. When work is tough, life is busy, and you need that extra touch.

I would generally style these frames with a more formal look - for the office or a meeting, I would pair them with a crisp white shirt and gold jewellery.

Everyone needs glasses that make them feel confident and in charge - a pair for your ‘power look’.

Marc Jacobs 16

Opting for a larger frame (surprise surprise) is more flattering when wearing oversized outfits. Larger blazers and wider trousers are balanced out by chunkier accessories.

Be bold, extra and tap into a more masculine vibe, and these frames will pair and proportion perfectly.

Neutral outfits are my go-to - tonal browns, greys and whites - so a burst of blue instantly enhances a quieter outfit.

I don’t bring these out often, but when I need that extra lift, they’re the best way to express my personality and change a simpler look.

Style tip: Pair one colour of accessories with a neutral outfit to feel more put together. Blue frames with blue trainers and a blue bag can tie a whole look together.

My Sunglasses Picks

For me, sunglasses season is every season. A peek of sun in London is always an excuse for an extra accessory.

I treat sunglasses and everyday glasses differently, reaching for thinner, narrower frames in sunglasses for a more vintage feel. But, like any accessory, they add personality to any outfit, summer or winter.

So 90s inspired, pair them with a slick back bun, white tank and leggings for everyday, or add to a dress and heels for a more retro edge to a formal look.

Bold without being extra, sporty sunglasses are the perfect accessory all year round.

These Levi Sun RX 07 frames are different for me, and much more dynamic in my everyday.

The ultra-thin frames are perfect for high summer. In these sunglasses, I see myself summering on a boat or swimming in the sea (we can dream…).

Lightweight and effortlessly cool, their versatility allows for any summer adventure.

Style tip: throw on with some denim shorts and a bikini top to do summer in style.

Roxy Sun RX 02

In summer, when I leave behind the oversized blazers and baggy jeans, I reach for cat-eye sunglasses.

Specsavers Yamba Sun RX

Chunky but elegant, and a neutral olive/brown shade, they’re perfect for that ‘tricky to dress’ transitional time between summer and autumn.

Sunglasses are an important investment, so finding a pair that can take you from season to season is a must. The geometric shape puts a modern twist on a classic style.

Style tip: pair with a cream blazer or suit and a suede ballet flat for a chic interseasonal outfit.

Final Notes

Growing up, I was always extra with my outfits and accessories, but look at me now, being able to share my glasses edit with you!

I really do wear these frames on repeat, and feel so lucky to be able to share them and my styling tips.

I hope you love them as much as I do. You can shop the full edit here.
